Overview

Tucked away in Rochester, MN, Tacos Mi Pueblo offers an authentic taste of Mexican street food that invites both locals and visitors to enjoy vibrant flavors and hearty dishes. This Mexican restaurant and food truck blend traditional recipes with fresh ingredients, creating a menu that resonates with anyone craving genuine Mexican fare.

The heart of Tacos Mi Pueblo lies in its tacos and burritos, with standout dishes like Carne Asada Tacos and the Burrito Al Pastor. These are crafted with generous portions of marinated meats, complemented by fresh cilantro, onions, and zesty red sauces that balance each bite beautifully. The Steak Burrito, packed with charbroiled steak, echoes the rich, smoky flavor that defines the experience here. For those who love classic sides, the Corn on the Cob or Elote cups offer a satisfying, creamy twist to the meal.

Walk up to the counter or find a spot in their modest seating area, which comes with free parking—ideal for a casual lunch or dinner. The atmosphere echoes the spirit of a vibrant Mexican food truck, where friendly staff contribute to an inviting ambiance. Diners praise the customer service and hygiene, enhancing the overall experience of sampling authentic Mexican staples.

The menu caters broadly, appealing to anyone from taco newcomers to seasoned enthusiasts. Highlights like the Tacos Al Pastor with Red Sauce and Chicken Quesadillas showcase the brand’s commitment to diverse yet deeply rooted flavors. While the current menu leans toward chicken tamales over pork, the quality and authenticity remain consistent across the board.

Many patrons emphasize the exceptional quality—the birria tacos, lengua, and quesadillas come highly recommended by frequent visitors. The size and texture of the tacos, with their corn tortillas and tender meats, deliver on the promise of a satisfying meal without feeling overwhelming.

On the practical side, Tacos Mi Pueblo operates on a cash-only basis, a detail to keep in mind. However, this doesn’t detract from the welcoming charm and overall value of the taco truck experience. While some guests note fluctuations in pricing, the majority agree the flavorful food justifies the visit.

For anyone near Rochester seeking a genuine slice of Mexican culinary culture, Tacos Mi Pueblo stands as a reliable choice—offering bold flavors, traditional dishes, and a warm, unpretentious atmosphere perfect for enjoying a casual yet memorable meal.

They need to stop raising there prices. Its almost like whoever is working that day decides what they want u to pay. Food is good but it would be nice to they had pork tamales instead of just chicken. Cubana is always good

I got the birria and my goodness these are phenomenal, no joke. The man working the truck tonight was very kind and hard working. I’ve never had better tacos anywhere else. Highly recommend and I will be back.

The first of our food truck adventures for taco takeout. We went all out and got the Asada (charbroiled steak), carnitas (pulled pork) and pollo (chicken). Fist size corn tortillas filled with your choice of meat, cilantro and onions. A side of mild or hot salsa is included. We brought them home for a little doctoring of homemade salsa and sour cream. Love the taste, texture and the prices. #philoffoodreviews

The service was amazing! The guy running the place was very kind and went above and beyond. We are in Rochester to visit MAYO clinic and this was the perfect stop! The food was amazing and well served and the prices are reasonable! It has a very cozy vibe and there are cameras and it is well lit so it feels very safe too!

Visiting from Texas. I ordered an elote, and it was ok. They don't have piquin chili powder. Tajin doesn't go well with an elote. Prices are better than other places but are expensive compared with Texas. They don't have prices on the menu, you have to ask which is bothersome.
